The Opportunity
This small clinic requires essential assistance whilst the primary GP takes leave for a period of 2 weeks. Along with seeing your own patients, there is the requirement to assist with the supervision of a Level 1 IMG and to assist with the 3.5 sessions per week when 4th & 5th year Medical Students attend the clinic. The principle GP and primary supervisor will still provide telephone assistance to the IMG and then you will be available within the clinic where necessary. With regards to the medical students, there can be flexibility whereby they assess patients initially and you provide further assessment or guidance from there, or whereby they can shadow your own consultations. There will not be a nurse available across the 2 week period.
