We are seeking a skilled Auto Electrician to join our mobile maintenance team in the mining industry. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet of heavy mobile equipment, including haul trucks, loaders, graders, and ancillary vehicles.
Your new role
* Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems on heavy mobile equipment (HME) and light vehicles.
* Perform fault finding and troubleshooting on complex electrical and electronic systems.
* Install, calibrate, and maintain monitoring systems, sensors, and wiring harnesses.
* Carry out preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing in line with OEM specifications.
* Ensure compliance with site safety standards and procedures at all times.
* Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
* Collaborate with mechanical fitters and other trades to minimise downtime.
What you'll need to succeed
* Trade qualification as an Auto Electrician (Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent).
* Minimum 2+ years' experience working on heavy mobile equipment in mining or similar industries.
* Strong knowledge of electrical diagnostics and repair techniques.
* Familiarity with OEM systems such as Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, or Liebherr.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
* Current C-Class Driver's Licence (HR licence desirable).
* High regard for safety and compliance.
