Strategically oversee and coordinate all maintenance activities for the company’s helicopter fleet, ensuring timely completion of scheduled tasks while optimising resource allocation
Responsibilities
Coordinate with Fleet Specialists and Component Shop: Ensure all required parts and inspections for upcoming jobs are organised in collaboration with the Fleet Specialists. Create Standard Parts Lists: Develop and maintain standard parts lists for routine tasks and maintenance procedures.Order Parts from Stores: Place orders for necessary parts from the stores in relation to fleet planning, ensuring timely availability. Maintain consistent communication with the Stores section to address any potential supply delays.Provide Fleet Reports and Maintenance Schedules: Regularly supply the Maintenance Controller with fleet reports and updates on upcoming maintenance activities, including potential supply delays and current in work maintenance activities. Track AC Components: Monitor the tracking of Aircraft Components to ensure availability and compliance.Prioritisation and scheduling: Assessing the urgency of maintenance needs and effectively scheduling work orders to minimise disruptions to production while maximising equipment uptime.Resource management: Coordinating available personnel with the Engineering Business Support Officers, tools, and spare parts with the Fleet Specialists, to ensure maintenance tasks can be completed efficiently.Data analysis: Monitoring maintenance trends and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimise maintenance strategies.Budgeting: Contributing to the maintenance budget by estimating costs associated with planned maintenance activities.Other duties as directed by the Head of Aircraft Airworthiness and Maintenance Control.
Qualifications
Current drivers licence valid for use in the work location.Ability to obtain and maintain an aviation security clearance.Diploma Qualification or 3 years work experience
About You
Aviation Maintenance Knowledge Solid understanding of helicopter maintenance practices, procedures and regulatory requirements (e.g., FAA or CASA. Experience with scheduled maintenance programs, inspections and airworthiness directives. Technical Background Preferred previous experience as an aircraft or helicopter technician or engineer Familiarity with helicopter systems, components, and their maintenance cycles. Planning and Scheduling Proven experience in maintenance planning and scheduling in an aviation or similar technical environment. Ability to develop short-term and long-term maintenance schedules. Knowledge or maintenance resource management, including tools, materials, and manpower. Software Proficiency Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems or Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul software, such as: Aeronet, Veryon, etc. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, SharePoint, Outlook and Project Regulatory Compliance Familiarity with aviation maintenance regulations and documentation standards. Experience managing compliance with airworthiness directives, service bulletins, and technical publications.
Shortlisting for this role will commence in December, with the successful candidate expected to start in the New Year.
