Gourmet Meat wholesaler with 43 years of operation experience based in Queanbeyan. Servicing weekly the hospitality and retail trade across the ACT and south-east NSW region as well as a select distributor trade in Sydney with a wide range of traditional meats, game meats and frozen berries. The company is a licensed MSA supplier. The facility is HACCP approved. The company also supplies a refrigerated courier service for perishable products across the same area of distribution.
The successful applicants will be required to market to new and existing clients in the food service industry and retail outlets in the NSW South Coast and if living in the ACT, the ACT region.
Computer literacy would be a distinct advantage but not essential. Excellent food knowledge(especially with meat) is essential, with training and experience in food marketing also highly desirable. A vehicle for marketing activities will be provided.
At least 4 years of experience in sales in the food industry is considered an advantage with an understanding of the importance of customer service and to have excellent time management and self-discipline skills. Chefing experience in the ACT and/or South East NSW is considered essential. Excellent knowledge of regional restaurant contacts is also considered essential. An extensive existing client base in the South Coast region goes with the position. An attractive salary package will be negotiated based on the experience and skills of the applicant but will include a negotiated minimum package plus commission based on performance. A vehicle will be supplied.
Professional chef experience (apprentice-trained or equivalent) in ACT and/or South East NSW is essential
This position is suited to a candidate with excellent working knowledge of the food service industry and who has networking connections with regional chefs in South East NSW. The candidate needs to be very ambitious and have the desire to earn high financial rewards from his or her efforts.
Essential Requirements:
