Shailer Park State High School has an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to join our Senior Schooling and Student Services Team as a Industry Liaison Officer.

This role will include assisting in the ongoing delivery of the School Based Apprenticeship and Traineeship programs, managing business and industry partnerships to maximise opportunities for secondary students, establishing and maintain effective networks and work collaboratively with business and industry groups to build strong and vibrant links
that promote School Based Apprenticeships as a career pathway for students.

Your Responsibilities

As the Industry Liaison Officer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

* Source Australian School Based Apprenticeships (ASBA) opportunities for prospective students by actively seeking opportunities for student placements in industry and potential School Based Apprenticeships.
* Promote and market the benefits of the school's technical model to potential employers and other stakeholders and position School Based Apprenticeships as a career pathway preference for students within the region.
* Develop and maintain relationships with employers, training providers and apprenticeship support agencies.
* Form connections and develop partnerships between school and employers that will assist students to transition to employment and make effective career choices.

To be successful in this role you will:

* Demonstrate ability to build and sustain effective industry partnerships that support student transitions and pathways.
* Demonstrate organisational skills in managing multiple priorities, including work placement logistics, data entry, and program monitoring.
* Demonstrate communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, parents, and industry partners.
* Demonstrate knowledge or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of legislation, frameworks and policies governing school-based apprenticeships and traineeships.
