Tradewind Australia is partnering with a well-established independent Faith-based school in Melbourne's Inner north to recruit an experienced HR Officer. This ongoing role supports a diverse school community and focuses on people, culture and compliance across the employee lifecycle.
About the Role
As the HR Officer, you will support the school's day-to-day human resources operations, working closely with senior leaders and executive staff. You will play a key role in performance management, staff engagement and ensuring compliance with the relevant education ward.

Key Responsibilities
* Support performance management processes across the school
* Work closely with senior executives on HR matters
* Coordinate staff inductions, onboarding and probation processes
* Prepare and issue employment contracts and employment variations
* Support workplace culture and change management initiatives
* Provide guidance on the Education Award and employment conditions
* Maintain accurate HR records and documentation
* Support basic payroll processes and liaise with finance as required
What You'll Bring
Essential
* Demonstrated HR experience within a school or education setting
* Strong working knowledge of the Education Award
* Confident communication skills and ability to engage senior stakeholders
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Professional presentation and approach
Desirable
* Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline
* Basic understanding of payroll processes
* Experience supporting organisational change
