The Opportunity
The Librarian is responsible for supporting the information requirements of staff and students by providing digital and information literacy education, basic study skills support, and library research services to develop individuals as self-directed learners.
The role provides for the delivery of technical support services and contributes to the development and implementation of initiatives to support and enhance educational delivery.
What We're Looking For
* Demonstrated experience of library operations, the development of contemporary learning environments, online resources and other information technology pertinent to a library environment.
* Experience in providing library support services, including training sessions, in an educationally focused customer service environment.
* Ability to undertake a range of cataloguing activities including but not limited to; applying relative national and international standards; create original or copy catalogue records; and construct descriptions to suit student needs.
What You Need to Know
A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) issued by the South Australian Department of Human Services is required before employment.
The position also requires the incumbent to be flexible in working across various TAFESA campuses as the business requires.
