Position Overview
TheAccount Manager, Translations & Communications role plays a vital role in providing strategic advisory services and creating bespoke solutions for our clients.
As an Account Manager, your core mission is to achieve individual and team sales targets. The Account Manager, Translations & Communications role is an intermediate role within the Account Management team suitable for someone with 3-5+ years of experience in Account Management/Sales role
This role involves understanding client needs, crafting sales proposals, and establishing new business relationships, while also nurturing existing ones. Account Managers assist with tender and RFQ responses, conduct client meetings across various platforms, and oversee the smooth handover of projects to our Production team. This role requires meticulous data entry into our operational and finance systems, producing high-quality reports for management.
As champions of continuous learning, our Account Managers keep abreast of industry trends and actively participate in professional development. They also share knowledge with peers and provide essential support to Account Coordinators. This role is perfect for an enthusiastic professional dedicated to enhancing client relationships and driving growth.
Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality translation advisory services and develop tailored translation-based solutions to drive revenue growth amongst prospective and existing clients.
* Identify clients' requirements and project scope, accurately estimating project costs and timelines.
* Develop comprehensive sales proposals and quotes, and diligently follow up on these proposals for conversion to sales.
* Ensure clear and detailed hand-over of closed sales to the Production team, including all necessary information for efficient and successful project completion.
* Grow company revenue through establishing new business relationships, while expanding opportunities with existing clients.
* Identify and reach out to prospects via LinkedIn, email, and phone, cultivating a robust and diverse client base.
* Assist in the development of competitive and compelling responses to tender and RFQ opportunities.
* Conduct video conference meetings, phone appointments, and face-to-face meetings with clients as required.
* Develop and maintain strong business relationships with assigned clients, ensuring that their experience with the company is world-class.
* Enter lead and sales data accurately and promptly into operational and finance systems for tracking and analysis.
* Produce high-quality reports for management and the team, documenting sales progress, client feedback, and market trends.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and competitor offerings, applying this knowledge to improve sales strategies and client services.
* Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance skills and stay current with industry changes and advancements.
* Share knowledge, expertise, and best practices with other Account Managers, while providing ongoing training, coaching, and support to Account Coordinators.
* Any reasonable task as requested by your Manager or the business.
Desired Skills & Qualifications

* 3-5+ years of experience in an Account Management/Sales role (mandatory)
* Tertiary qualification in Translation and/or Interpreting.
* Helpful, enthusiastic and eager attitude.
* Willingness to travel and visit clients onsite in your capital city.
* An understanding, appreciation and passion for cultural diversity.
* An ability to learn and grow quickly.
* Ideally, the ability to speak a language other than English.

* This position is for Melbourne-based professionals only.
* We offer a hybrid working environment (with a minimum of 3 days in the office) but you must be based in Melbourne.
* Overseas and interstate-based candidates will not be considered.
