We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Podiatry Assistant to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The successful applicant will play a crucial role in supporting the service by completing delegated tasks from the Podiatry team.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive foot screenings, neurological checks, and vascular assessments to identify potential health risks.
* Assist with referrals, footwear, and orthotics requests, as well as patient update letters for doctors.
* Perform basic procedures and set up assistive equipment under the supervision of a qualified Podiatrist.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you will require:
* A Certificate IV in Allied Health or another relevant qualification.
* A current Working with Children Check.
* Evidence of vaccination against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Hepatitis B.
* Tuberculosis screening to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required.
* A Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed.
* Criminal History Screening.

About Our Service
The High Risk Foot service is a Podiatry-led initiative aimed at increasing access to assessment, care planning, and interventions for patients with a high risk of developing foot ulcers that can lead to amputation if not managed in a timely and appropriate fashion.
