Key Responsibilities
Personal & High‐Intensity Care
* Assist with personal care tasks (showering, grooming, toileting, dressing)
* Provide high‐intensity supports where required (bowel care, mealtime management, medication prompts, mobility assistance)
* Support participants with daily living routines and health‐related needs
Community Access & Social Participation
* Accompany participants to appointments, social outings, community activities, and events
* Encourage community engagement and build confidence in social settings
* Support participants to develop meaningful connections and relationships
Life Skills Development
* Assist with building independence in cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and household management
* Support participants to learn new skills and achieve personal goals
* Provide guidance in decision‐making, problem‐solving, and self‐advocacy
Transport & Travel Assistance
* Provide safe and reliable transport to appointments, programs, and community activities
* Support participants to use public transport where appropriate
Household Tasks
* Assist with domestic duties such as meal preparation, laundry, and general cleaning
* Maintain a safe, hygienic, and supportive environment
Daily Tasks & Shared Living
* Support participants in shared living environments
* Promote positive routines, safety, and independence
* Encourage cooperative living and respectful communication
Documentation & Reporting
* Maintain accurate progress notes, incident reports, and shift documentation
* Communicate effectively with coordinators, families, and allied health professionals
* Uphold confidentiality, privacy, and NDIS Practice Standards
