About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated Mechanical tradesperson to join our dynamic maintenance team at Blackwater. In this role, you'll work both in the field and in the workshop, performing a wide range of tasks including the repair, modification, and refurbishment of surface mining equipment and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
As a Minor Plant Fitter, your duties will include:
* Performing maintenance on light vehicles, medium vehicles, mining ancillary equipment and infrastructure
* Conducting repairs and servicing in line with manufacturer specifications
* Scoping jobs, ordering parts, and working closely with Maintenance Planners
* Completing pre-start checks on vehicles prior to operation
* Diagnosing and resolving issues with electrical, engine, and hydraulic systems
* Acting in accordance with BUMA's Values and Standards of Business Conduct
* Participating in training as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
About You:
We're seeking someone with the following skills and qualifications:
* Relevant trade qualification (e.g. LV Mechanic or equivalent)
* Working at heights and confined space tickets (or willingness to obtain)
* Familiarity with OEM software and SAP (desirable)
* Strong planning and scheduling abilities
* Able to work independently with minimal supervision
* Current Standard 11 certification or willingness to obtain
