Reporting to the Quality Assurance & Compliance Manager and working closely with the QA and Product Teams, you’ll drive continuous improvement to ensure alignment with global best practices, while maintaining high standards of product quality alongside the QA team through a strong focus on factory performance, ethical compliance, product development, quality assessments and reviewing customer feedback.What You’ll Be DoingOversee the Ethical Sourcing program, including data management and reporting aligned with Premier Retail’s Modern Slavery compliance requirementsEvaluate and onboard new suppliers and manufacturing partners, ensuring adherence to ethical, quality, and compliance standardsCollaborate closely with internal sourcing teams, external agents, suppliers, and quality assurance professionals based in ChinaIdentify and source sustainable raw materials and packaging across both softline and hardline product categoriesEngage with local and international sustainability organizations, NGOs, and licensors to support ethical and sustainable practicesConduct initial assessments of new product concepts and samples during the product development phaseAbout You3+ years’ experience in Ethical Sourcing, Sustainability, or ESG-related roles, ideally within a complex, fast-paced environmentDeep understanding of relevant legislation and frameworks, including the Modern Slavery Act, ACCC sustainability guidelines, APCO, ASRS, and a strong interest in evolving global ESG regulations and reporting standardsProven experience managing supplier relationships across Asia, with cultural awareness and the ability to navigate regional nuances effectivelyTrack record of successful collaboration with NGOs, including involvement in sustainability or human rights-focused campaignsExperience working with global licensors and responding to their Ethical Sourcing and Sustainability requirements is highly desirableRelevant tertiary qualifications in Human Rights, Law, Sustainability, Environmental Science, International Relations, or Social Sciences preferred; equivalent practical experience in the Ethical Sourcing and Sustainability field will also be consideredPerksGenerous staff discount and access to our sample salesCentral office location based on St Kilda Rd, with direct access to the picturesque Fawkner ParkWork closely within a high performing, supportive and collaborative environmentEngage in continuous learning and development programs to enhance your skills and foster personal and professional growthCoffee lover?
