We now have a permanent full-time role based in Perth, Sydney.
(38 hours per week, rotating shifts between 10 am-9 pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts)
About the role: Graphic Artist
The Graphic Artist supports the Video Graphics department by providing design services to the Network 10 newsroom and other divisions as needed.
This role involves liaising with Producers and Reporters to communicate stories visually. It requires effective communication, time management, and the ability to meet tight deadlines with high-quality graphics.
Main responsibilities include:
* Producing 2D/3D static and animated graphics based on requests from Producers and Reporters, ensuring all deadlines are met with accurate, clear, and visually appealing graphics that match the story tone.
* Leading shifts by attending editorial meetings, managing daily workloads, liaising with Executive Producers, and quality-checking graphics.
* Training junior designers to develop their skills.
* Working on projects such as graphics packages, themed elements, and templates.
* Providing general administrative support as needed.
What we're looking for:
* Exceptional organizational skills and problem-solving abilities
* Professional communication skills and stakeholder relationship management
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Media Encoder) and Microsoft Office
* Knowledge of Vizrt, 3D, and programming is a plus
* A quick learner with initiative, effective planning, multitasking, and the ability to follow directions
