About Us


McConnell Bourn Commercial is a growing commercial real estate company committed to delivering excellence in property management, leasing, and sales. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant to join our team, based in our Cabramatta office. This role is designed to provide vital support to our Commercial Property Manager in managing our diverse portfolio of commercial properties, including offices, retail shops, and warehouses.


Position Overview


The Assistant to Commercial Property Manager will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth operation of property management functions. The position involves supporting day-to-day management activities, liaising with tenants and landlords, coordinating maintenance, and assisting with administrative and financial management tasks.


Key Responsibilities

* Assist the Commercial Property Manager with daily property management operations.
* Coordinate and respond to tenant and landlord enquiries promptly and professionally.
* Prepare, update, and maintain property management records and databases.
* Assist with rent collection, arrears monitoring, and preparation of rent arrears notices.
* Support the preparation and distribution of lease agreements, renewals, and related documentation.
* Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and service requests, liaising with contractors and suppliers.
* Assist with conducting routine inspections of managed properties and preparing inspection reports.
* Support the preparation of property budgets, financial reports, and expense reconciliations.
* Ensure compliance with all statutory, safety, and regulatory requirements for managed properties.
* Provide general administrative support, including filing, document preparation, and scheduling meetings.


Skills & Qualifications

* Previous experience in property management, real estate, or administration (preferred but not essential).
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with tenants, landlords, and contractors.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and property management software (desirable).
* Attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
* Valid NSW Driver's Licence (preferred).
* Current Certificate of Registration or Real Estate Licence (or willingness to obtain).
