Job Overview

Melton City Council is seeking a skilled and dedicated Maternal and Child Health Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to families and children in the community.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of reproductive health. They will also possess the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide accurate, objective documentation.

Key Responsibilities

The Maternal and Child Health Nurse will be responsible for:

* Providing maternal and child health services to families and children in the community
* Conducting assessments and developing plans to address the needs of individuals and families
* Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
* Participating in continuous quality improvement initiatives
* Engaging with the community to promote health and well-being

Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must:

* Hold current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) and Midwife
* Have a thorough understanding of reproductive health and the ability to identify deviations from normal and instigate appropriate early intervention
* Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Be able to work effectively in a team environment
* Hold a current valid Victorian Driver's Licence
* Meet the requirements to work as a Maternal and Child Health Nurse in Victoria
