In this role, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Nursing and Midwifery Practice Development Unit (NMPDU), shaping the future of education and workforce development across Metro South Health.
In this role, you will:
* Lead and manage nursing and midwifery education services across Metro South Health
* Drive workforce capability through contemporary education strategies and lifelong learning models
* Provide strategic and operational leadership across a large, multi-site workforce
* Oversee governance, performance, and quality outcomes aligned to organisational priorities
* Lead service planning, workforce development, and education program delivery
About You
You are an experienced nursing or midwifery leader with a strong background in education, workforce development, and strategic service delivery.
You will bring:
* Extensive leadership experience in nursing/midwifery education and workforce development
* Strong strategic, operational, and financial management capability
* Expertise in clinical governance, quality improvement, and performance frameworks
* Proven ability to lead large teams and manage multi-site service delivery
* Advanced data analysis skills to inform decision-making and service improvement

Unit Profile
The Metro South Health (MSH) Executive Director Nursing and Midwifery (EDNM) Division provides governance, leadership, strategic support and guidance for the Nursing and Midwifery professions across the health service. The Nursing and Midwifery Practice Development Unit (NMPDU) within the MSH EDNM Division supports the delivery of NMPDU education and workforce priorities, providing strategic and operational leadership to drive educational efficiencies and workforce development for the future.
