Uniting Early Learning Illoura is nestled in Frenchville with a well-established community feel. This 50 place centre is well resourced with open inside space and large natural outdoor play. With a supportive Director and long-term team members, you will be a welcome addition as our new Early Childhood Teacher.In the role of Early Childhood Teacher, you will focus on preparing your kindergarten class for their transition to prep. The purpose of the role is to lead and implement a quality approved Kindergarten program for children at the Centre.In this role you will:Facilitate and deliver the educational learning experiences in your room through a quality play-based early childhood education program within the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and/or Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG).Plan and implement programs based on knowledge of the child, children, EYLF, QKLG and National Quality Framework (NQF) in preparation for the children’s first year of formal schooling.Effectively lead and manage the room and resources to maximise and maintain an effective, engaging, safe and aesthetic learning environment.Exemplify personal drive and integrity, taking personal responsibility for meeting objectives, showing initiative and committing energy to achieving goals, showing resilience and professional conduct under pressure and scrutiny.Candidates will be required to hold a 4-year Early Childhood Education Bachelor or equivalent as approved by ACECQA or actively studying toward.Required Skills:Demonstrated ability to develop, drive, and implement a safe, engaging and well planned outdoor and indoor educational play-based program, ensuring the learning needs of individual children and the group are effectively documented and assessed.Demonstrated thorough knowledge and understanding of current early childhood education practices, legislation, regulation, frameworks and child development.Demonstrated ability to assess children’s learning behaviour and development, guiding children’s behaviour in a positive way and encourage children to interact with others with care, empathy and respect.Demonstrated experience in providing practical guidance and interaction that ensures quality outcomes for children.Demonstrated initiative and strong sense of personal responsibility for meeting objectives and managing health and safety risks.Pay range and compensation package: Salary is commensurate with experience and alignment with award classification description. $85-105K pa excl. super.If you are a culturally & linguistically diverse, living with a disability, or returning to the workforce after a period of time off raising children, we recognise you are less likely to apply for this position, however we strongly consider those who can meet most of the above and have a great work ethic to formalise their application.Uniting Church in Australia, Queensland Synod is committed to being a child safe, child friendly organisation and for all children who come into contact with our services we will provide welcoming, safe and nurturing services, prevent child abuse and neglect within our services and appropriately and immediately address child abuse and neglect if it does occur.Check here to see our Privacy Policy, including the use and storage of information we collect.
