Job Opportunity:
This is a full-time permanent position available in our Small Animal Primary Care team at UQ Vets, a leading veterinary facility dedicated to delivering high-quality care and compassionate services.
The successful candidate will provide exceptional care to small animal patients including avian and exotic species in urgent and critical situations. Key responsibilities include managing cases presenting to the primary care service, contributing to the emergency and urgent care service, engaging in clinical teaching, providing clinical training and mentorship, and collaborating with specialists and experienced clinicians.
This role requires extensive experience in emergency and critical care, or general practitioners aiming to enhance their skills, as well as recent graduates eager to continue their learning in a supportive environment.
We welcome candidates who demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality, relationship-centred care to small animal patients and clients, with a passion for veterinary education. Eligible candidates should hold a degree registrable in Queensland, and may be required to complete background checks and provide evidence of immunisation against certain vaccine preventable diseases.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage Cases Presenting to the Primary Care Service
