We have an opportunity for a PSV Company Bus Driver to join our team. The working hours are from 07:00 - 10:00 and 14:00 - 17:00 daily, on a 25-hour contract. On-site parking is available.
Job purpose: A PSV Company bus driver is responsible for driving a passenger-carrying vehicle (PCV), providing good customer service, and ensuring a safe and comfortable journey throughout the network of HATS buses.

About The Role
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Ensure safety and wellbeing of clients throughout the journey and handover.
* Always wear high visibility PPE in vehicle movement areas.
* Observe speed limits within bus depots and school premises.
* Check vehicle condition before service by carrying out safety walk-round checks, report defects, complete defect cards or enter defects electronically, and ensure the vehicle is clean and tidy.
* Comply with laws and company regulations regarding mobile phones, smoking, and prohibited equipment while on duty.
* Be responsible for health, safety, security, welfare, environmental, and fire safety arrangements for yourself, customers, and colleagues, including attending safety briefings and training.
* Report safety accidents/incidents via the company's procedures.
* Understand emergency and evacuation plans.
* Keep the bus cab area safe and tidy.
* Provide high standards of customer service, including informing customers of road closures and diversions.
* Behave professionally and friendly to customers and colleagues.
* Recognize and assist with additional needs of vulnerable groups.
* Drive the company's vehicles safely, legally, and professionally, adhering to set timetables when safe to do so.
* Stay updated on road conditions and service changes through notices and briefings.
* Hold a valid driving license and CPC license at all times, available for inspection.
Work Environment
* Have a D1 category license with no restrictions and a valid CPC license for the vehicle type.
* Keep medical renewals up to date.
* Communicate any license changes affecting driving entitlement.
* Make license available for inspection every 6 months.
* Report to work on time with the correct equipment and dress code.
* Not report for work when overtired or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
* Follow procedures for absences and safety incidents.
* Participate in annual appraisals and contribute ideas for service improvements.
* Adhere to all HATS policies and procedures.
* Perform any reasonable requests from the company.
Participate in flexible working hours, mainly between 07:00 - 09:00 and 14:30 – 16:30, reporting incidents or problems to the Controller. The work environment is predominantly outdoors, requiring safe and efficient operation in all weather and traffic conditions.
