Process Technician – Fulltime, part-time and casual on-call opportunities
Are you a practical, hands-on problem solver who enjoys working with equipment, processes, and purpose-driven technology?
At
Cauldron
, we're building Australia's most advanced precision fermentation facility and we're looking for additional
Process Technicians
to help run and maintain our production operations in Orange.
Whether you're looking for
full-time, part-time, or casual work
, we'd love to hear from you.
Shift work includes
both day and night rotations
, and you'll receive hands-on training to set you up for success. Our campaign rosters could suit candidates undertaking university studies, juggling parenting obligations or be the perfect second job.
This is your chance to be part of a world-class biotech manufacturing team that's shaping a more sustainable future; one process at a time.
Your Mission
As a
Process Technician
, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of our fermentation and downstream systems ensuring equipment, utilities, and processes operate safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
You'll:
Operate, monitor, and maintain plant and process equipment (tanks, pumps, piping, valves, utilities).
Assist with set-up, changeover, and shutdown of production systems.
Record process data, perform routine checks, and troubleshoot issues in real time.
Support cleaning and sterilisation (CIP/SIP) procedures and general plant hygiene.
Work with engineers and scientists to improve performance, quality, and reliability.
Participate in quality control activities and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Contribute to a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Learn and apply basic concepts of PLCs, sensors, and process instrumentation; helping to connect equipment performance with automation and control.
To Be Successful
You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy being hands-on, working as part of a team, and taking pride in well-run, high-quality operations. You're someone who doesn't just spot problems — you solve them.
Trade, technical, or process operations background (manufacturing, food, beverage, pharma, or similar).
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to follow operating procedures safely.
Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
Appreciation for science, process control, and product quality.
Curiosity and willingness to learn about automation systems, PLCs, and instrumentation.
Team player with good communication and reliability.
Experience in fermentation, food processing, brewing, or utilities (steam, water, air systems) would be highly regarded but we'll
train the right person
who brings initiative and drive to learn.
Why Join Cauldron?
Because what we do matters. You'll help build and operate technology that makes better, cleaner, more sustainable products, right here in regional NSW.
What you'll get:
Hands-on role in a cutting-edge biotech manufacturing facility.
Opportunity to learn advanced automation and control technologies.
Work with a supportive, innovative, and growth-focused team.
Competitive salary and benefits.
Training and career development opportunities in advanced manufacturing.
