The Collective Initiative is a Registered Not for Profit Organisation. One of our missions focuses on Supporting Children and Youth at risk of homelessness by offering transitional housing, skill building programs and pathways to independence.
**About the role**
As a Youth Worker, your priority is to ensure in the safety and well being of all children in our care, focusing on a tailored approach and always with a trauma informed lens. Your role may includes:
- supporting children and young people who may have significant challenges, Complex Trauma and are involved in the Child Protection and/or out of home care system. 
- working along with families to support and implement routine and structure, whilst upskilling within the home to support family preservation. 
- providing Supervised Contact Visits, in home supports, Respite, Transport, Mentoring and Crisis Accommodation to those at risk of homelessness.
**About You** 
- Experience in engaging and building trust with young people from diverse background 
- Previous experience in trauma informed practice will be highly regarded 
- Sound knowledge of services to youth 
- Ethical approach, you act with integrity and compassion to support and empower young people in meaningful ways. 
- Verbal skills and writing skills (for mandatory reports) are required 
- Legal right to work in Australia 
- Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle comprehensively insured 
- Working with Children Check 
- National Police Check issued within the last 6 months

**Important Information** 
- Interviews will be conducted inbetween the 23rd of June and the 1st of July. 
- Interviews will be conducted face to face in Brisbane.

Pay: $31.76 - $43.08 per hour
