We are currently recruiting for a Permanent Full-Time Full-Stack Developer, while also establishing an eligibility list for potential future vacancies within NSW Health Pathology.
In this dynamic role, you'll collaborate with clinicians, scientists, and business leaders to deliver agile, impactful solutions that improve real-world patient outcomes. From designing and implementing complex business systems to enhancing our DevOps capabilities, you'll play a key role in ensuring our technology solutions are sustainable, secure, and cutting-edge.
We operate more than 60 laboratories and around 200 collection centres across NSW and conduct over 60 million tests per annum. Our network of pathologists is supported by scientists, technicians, and support staff who quickly and accurately assess samples so clinical teams can make the best possible treatment decisions for patients. Our Forensic & Analytical Science Service provides independent, objective analysis to the NSW criminal and coronial justice systems.

What you'll be doing
Collaborate with clinicians, scientists, and business professionals to drive the sustainable and innovative application of new technologies that improve health outcomes. Your responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining DevOps pipelines to support continuous integration, delivery, and deployment; automating infrastructure and application provisioning using modern tools and best practices; and working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver scalable, high-performance systems. You will also focus on enhancing system reliability, monitoring, and incident response processes, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing.

* Demonstrated experience working across a range of web, server, database, mobile, and integration technologies, preferably Angular, MuleSoft, .Net, NodeJS, Typescript, and the Microsoft Power Platform.
* Previous experience working in a team environment across varying geographical locations operating CI/CD platforms and techniques including test, build, and deployment automation.
* Ability to work within or lead a vendor or contractor-based team and drive efforts towards achieving business outcomes aligned with NSW Health Pathology reference architectures.
* Experience with deploying cloud products such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services, infrastructure as code technologies like Terraform and Helm, low code and RPA technologies such as the Microsoft Power Platform, log management systems like Elasticsearch and Splunk, and database platforms like SQL Server, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, DynamoDB.
* Demonstrated experience operating business analytics tools such as PowerBI and Tableau.
* Ability to craft and tune complex SQL queries.
* Willingness to be on call outside of normal hours if urgent issues arise within the DevOps team.
* Experience with monitoring and diagnostic tools such as Microsoft AppInsights or Amazon X-Ray.
