About the Department
The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing (established under its current title on 13 May 2025) serves as the Australian Government's central body responsible for shaping the nation's health, disability, and aged care systems through evidence-based policy, targeted programs, and regulatory excellence.
Essential Attributes / Skills / Experience
* Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and liaison skills;
* Sound stakeholder engagement skills with an ability to resolve issues and provide quality advice;
* Ability to exercise good judgement and show integrity and professionalism when dealing with confidential and sensitive business matters;
* Ability to develop an understanding of relevant legislation, program policies and operating procedures;
* Good organisational skills, including the ability to manage priorities, and deliver a high standard of work and use a customer-centric approach;
* Capability to work within a team environment, work under general supervision and within established procedures and guidance; and
* Familiarity with Outlook, Excel, TRIM and Citizen Space would be good but are not required.
APS4 hourly rate contract, until 30/06/2026 + possible extension
Located in Canberra, ACT
Minimum Baseline required
$49 per hour + 12% Super
