The Opportunity
Ashurst's major projects, transport and infrastructure team ensures the successful delivery of projects by providing timely, innovative and commercially astute legal solutions. The team brings together a wide range of legal experts with extensive experience in infrastructure-related transactions.
Ashurst is continuing to invest heavily in our Projects and Energy Transition team as part of our ambitious 2027 strategy. To that end, we are excited to be expanding our team and are looking for bright minds to grow, strengthen and diversify our major projects team.
In this role, you will work closely with our major projects Partners including Krista Payne, Julie Ma, Angus Foley and Adam Skibsted, as well as with our broader Projects and Energy Transition teams in Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. You will be involved in a wide range of matters related to the procurement, development, and delivery of major construction and infrastructure projects.

About You
Our ideal candidate will have:
* 2 years or more post admission experience in a projects, infrastructure or construction practice area, gained within a reputable firm;
* A desire to be part of an environment where you can work as part of a team to service clients, and contribute to culture and the overall success of the practice;
* Passionate about the sectors that we work in and seeing city-shaping projects come to life;
* Exceptional ability to build meaningful and long-lasting relationships with colleagues and clients;
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
* Advanced drafting skills; and
* A commercial approach while remaining legally appropriate having regard to all broader circumstances.
