Great opportunity for an experienced Project Manager in commercial construction

This company, operating in the commercial construction space, has been in operation for over 10 years. Specialising in refurbishmentm construction and fitout projects. They are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team in Hobart or Launceston.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager, the Project Manager will be responsible for the full lifecycle of construction projects, from contract award through to final handover. This role suits a highly organised professional with a sharp eye for detail, strong leadership qualities, and a proven track record in managing commercial builds. Key responsibilities include:
* Client Engagement: Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring open communication, regular updates, and prompt resolution of any issues.
* Project Execution: Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
* Team Oversight: Conduct regular site visits and lead multidisciplinary teams including subcontractors, engineers, and site supervisors.
* Quality Management: Implement robust quality control systems to ensure all work meets or exceeds client expectations and industry standards.
* Health & Safety: Ensure all site activities are compliant with WHS legislation and internal safety protocols.
* Cost Planning & Claims: Collaborate with estimators and administrators to prepare cost plans, progress claims, and invoicing documentation.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you'll need to be a confident communicator with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. You'll also bring:
* A Diploma in Building & Construction, Project Management, or Business
* At least 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management
* In-depth knowledge of construction practices, materials, and compliance requirements
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Proficiency with construction management software
* A current driver's licence and White Card
