Working hours : 7.30 am - 3.30 pm, Monday - Friday.
Opportunity : The Production Supervisor/Production Engineer is supporting the Production Manager in overseeing the daily management of the Braemac Production Facility and for overseeing various aspects of the manufacturing process, including ensuring that any down time or inefficiencies are minimized and ensure the operations are run effectively and any quality issues are minimized and identified prior to dispatch of the products.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Support the Production Manager in the daily management of the Production Facility, including assignment of Assembly Associates to jobs.
* Act as the 2IC for the Production Manager.
* Providing the necessary technical support.
* Allocating tasks based on the job scheduling.
* Demonstrate aptitude with various electrical and mechanical tools.
* Inspecting designs and the "first sample" to ensuring the delivery of the product is meeting industry standards and relevant codes.
* Checking the finished products to ensure quality and compliance with customers drawings.
* Quality checks of cable assemblies in accordance with policy.
* Oversee and train staff involved in the production line/cable assembly line.
* Train new employee on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures.
* Assisting Engineers and Technologists with programming, testing and commissioning of various of electrical and electronic equipment.
* Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards.
* Assisting with quoting of jobs.
* Additional duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
* An associate degree in electrical engineering or higher education qualification is required.
* Must have at least 4-5 years' experience in electrical/electronic production field.
* Quality Engineering certification preferred.
* 1-3 years of related supervisory or management experience in a production facility is preferred.
* Supervisory skills to support the accomplishment of the production facility objectives.
* Organizational skills for organizing people, projects, etc.
* Ability to read specifications and drawings.
* Oral and written communications skills for communicating, and building relationships, with internal and external customers.
* ISO knowledge preferred for ensuring quality standards are met.
* Good attention to detail and follow up for non-conformances identified.
* Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications at the intermediate level preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
* Ability to lift, push, pull and move objects up to 25 pounds on a frequent basis using proper lifting techniques.
* Ability to twist, stoop, squat, bend, and reach on a frequent basis.
* Ability to sit, stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
