The key duties of the position include Under broad policy, control and direction of the Service Delivery Optimisation Manager, Aviation Operations, the responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: Lead and develop a small team, responsible for the provision of meteorological advice across the Aviation, Land and Maritime Transport Program, to foster a working culture that is safe, inclusive and diverse. Provide expertise, support, and guidance across ALMT on the technical application of Aviation Operations policy and procedures. Lead data and trend analysis, in accordance with the Aviation Quality Management System (ISO9001:2015), to provide evidence-based recommendations that inform improvements to Aviation quality policies, procedures, and practices. Maintain extensive understanding of the relevant technical and regulatory frameworks utilised in the provision of aviation meteorological services. Including, a deep understanding of the Bureau's Aeronautical Services Handbook (ASH) and Annex 3 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation - Meteorological Service for International Air Navigation. Working with teams across the Aviation, Land and Maritime Transport Program, provide technical review, advice, communication and input into investigations, educational material, external media and service management activities (ie: planned outages). Championing new ways of working, communicating and engaging with AMLT staff and external stakeholders, building, nurturing and growing relationships. Maintaining consistent and effective collaboration with peers and demonstrating a high level of cooperation and innovation across BSG.
