* We are seeking an exceptional sales professional to expand our client base and build strong relationships with mechanical and electrical consultants, engineers, and contractors.
The ideal candidate will possess multiple years of experience in a sales engineer role, a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, and high-level knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
A successful Sales Engineer will be able to grow a client base, maintain strong business relationships, and communicate effectively throughout the sales cycle.
Responsibilities
* Identify new customers while maintaining and nurturing existing relationships.
* Provide technical sales support and advice in various industries.
* Lead pre-tender/tender negotiations and manage contracts, project timelines, and budgets.
* Offer hands-on commissioning and technical support during projects.
* Generate technical calculations and select appropriate products that meet customers' requirements.
* Communicate clearly throughout the sales cycle, ensuring all commercial, contractual, and technical details are addressed.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to promote brand loyalty.
* Assemble comprehensive project documentation, including quotations, orders, and post-sale manuals.
* Manage documentation and communications using PC software such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Requirements
* Multiple years of experience in a sales engineer role.
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* High level of mechanical and electrical experience and knowledge.
* Proven ability to grow a client base and maintain strong business relationships.
* Extensive experience in the mechanical and electrical sectors, particularly in power transmission, mining, defence, medical, construction, and manufacturing.
* Experience with pre-tender/tender negotiations, contract management, and hands-on commissioning.
* Strong technical proficiency in generating calculations and selecting appropriate products.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively manage customer relations throughout the sales cycle.
* Proficiency in using standard PC software, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
