The Role
Land Systems Division is seeking Materiel Inventory Officers who are passionate about their professional growth and contributing to a dedicated and dynamic team, supporting the management of some of the largest and most complex acquisition programs in Australia.
As an APS 4 Materiel Inventory Officer, you will apply your logistics, inventory and asset management skills to ensure the right equipment is in the right location at the right time, for the effective supply and maintenance of a multi-million dollar portfolio of Australian Defence Force equipment.
Working within an integrated team of procurement and logistics professionals, you will undertake to moderately complex inventory and asset management tasks within a framework of legislation, established policies and procedures. This role offers the opportunity to build capability, understand and manage risk, solve problems and deliver outcomes that directly support Defence operations.

Land Systems Division's (LSD) mission is to acquire and support capability that enables the ADF to generate and sustain deployable Land power for an integrated force, in peace and war. We aim to be agile, innovative and outcomes-focused as we collaborate closely with the Services and industry to deliver the latest equipment to maximise ADF performance.
Our Inventory Management teams work in a dynamic, fast-paced and collaborative environment to provide professional support to the acquisition and sustainment of ADF capability. We ensure the availability of a broad range of unique and specialised equipment, and take pride in contributing to important Defence initiatives that ensure our ADF members have the best and latest equipment to safely perform their roles.

Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organisational skills, sound judgement, and the ability to work effectively under limited direction within a material logistics and inventory environment. They will have a good understanding of legislative and policy requirements, with the ability to interpret and apply procedures appropriately to support Defence outcomes.
The successful candidate will be adaptable, capable of managing competing priorities, and confident in making decisions within defined parameters while seeking guidance when required. They will communicate clearly and professionally with a range of stakeholders, contribute to information sharing and local process improvement, and show initiative in undertaking research and analysis.
