We are now seeking an experienced Site Quality Manager to lead quality and food safety outcomes at our Wetherill Park site.
About the role
Reporting to the Quality & Regulatory Director, ANZ, the Site Quality Manager plays a critical role in ensuring products meet customer, regulatory and food safety requirements while supporting efficient and effective site operations.
This is a hands-on leadership role with end-to-end accountability for site quality programs, people leadership, customer outcomes and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
Quality & Food Safety Leadership
* Implement and maintain site Food Safety and Quality programs in line with regulatory, customer and certification requirements (including BRC)
* Own site GMP programs, internal audits, corrective actions and prerequisite programs (including pest control)
* Champion a strong food safety and quality culture across the site
People & Team Leadership
* Lead and develop the site Quality team across all shifts to ensure full operational coverage
* Monitor performance against KPIs, manage workloads and drive engagement and capability uplift
* Coach, mentor and train teams in GMP, HACCP and food safety programs
Customer & Product Management
* Oversee product release, stock-on-hold and out-of-spec processes
* Manage customer complaints, investigations and corrective actions
* Issue Certificates of Assurance and manage shelf-life testing programs
Continuous Improvement & Reporting
* Drive quality improvement initiatives to reduce customer complaints year-on-year
* Use data and insights to identify process improvement opportunities
* Develop and report on quality KPIs, audit outcomes and improvement progress
What you'll bring
* Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Quality, Science or similar (desirable)
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a quality leadership role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
* Strong working knowledge of food safety regulations, quality systems and industry standards
* Proven experience leading and engaging teams in an operational setting
* Ability to balance quality outcomes with production and commercial realities
* Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical information for diverse audiences
* A pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset with the confidence to influence across functions
