About the Role
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will have a positive impact on residents' lives by providing quality support with their daily living activities. Your role involves planning and implementing day-to-day care of residents in accordance with Commonwealth standards.
The team relies on personal care staff to deliver exceptional care to all residents every day.
Key Responsibilities
* Support residents with personal hygiene, grooming, oral hygiene, continence management, mobility, and food and fluids while respecting their need for privacy.
* Work collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating strong teamwork skills.
* Complete reporting and documentation based on policies and procedures.
* Interact with residents, families, and friends in a helpful and positive manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Hold a Certificate III in Individual Support or similar qualification.
* Previous experience in personal care roles in Aged Care is desirable but not essential.
* Current Police Check or NDIS Workers Screening is required.
* Availability to work morning, afternoon, and night shifts is necessary.
* Demonstrate compassionate, kind, and respectful interactions with residents and fellow staff.
* Proactively approach resident care and wellbeing.
* Maintain confidentiality in all matters.
* Meet COVID vaccination requirements.
