Description
The Project Manager & Cost Controller is responsible for leading the planning, financial oversight, delivery, and commercial performance of multiple EDMS Australia projects. This hybrid role integrates traditional project management with advanced cost control, forecasting, risk management, and contract administration functions. The position ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to specification, while maintaining strong stakeholder communication and commercial governance. The role operates primarily from the office, transitioning to a balanced office-site presence as required.
What You'll Be Doing
* Lead day-to-day project execution.
* Develop project schedules, resource plans, and progress reporting.
* Control budgets, cost forecasts, financial tracking, and invoicing.
* Review contracts, prepare variations, and negotiate with clients.
* Oversee procurement and subcontractor coordination.
* Drive WHS compliance and quality assurance.
* Maintain strong communication with stakeholders and clients.
Skills And Experiences
What You'll Bring
• 5+ years' project management experience in fabrication, heavy engineering, or construction
• Strong commercial acumen and financial reporting skills
• Ability to read engineering drawings & technical specifications
• Experience leading teams and managing site activities
• Proficiency in MS Project, MS Office, and MYOB EXO (advantageous)
• Mandatory: Engineering trade qualification, G2, S1/S2/S3, White Card, Driver's Licence
