Baseball South Australia (BSA) is the state governing body for baseball in South Australia, responsible for leading and administering the sport from community participation through to elite competition. BSA works in close partnership with Baseball Australia and a network of Member Clubs to grow the game, support participants at every level, and represent South Australian baseball on the national stage.
BSA is entering a new phase of organisational development. Following board approval of a revised staffing structure, the Director of Operations is a newly created executive role that sits at the centre of that growth.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Director of Operations is a full‐time position responsible for the day‐to‐day operational management of Baseball SA. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director of Operations leads a team of five direct reports spanning competitions, officiating, coaching pathways, and foundation programs, and holds operational oversight of the Communications Officer and Finance Officer.
This is a leadership and management role as much as it is an operational one. The Director of Operations ensures that BSA's programs and services are delivered reliably, that staff are supported and held accountable, that workflows and communication standards are maintained, and that the CEO is free to focus on strategic, external and board‐facing responsibilities. The Director of Operations is the key link between the CEO's direction and the organisation's day‐to‐day execution.
The role absorbs administrative and managerial responsibilities previously spread across multiple positions, creating a single accountable point for operational performance across the organisation.
