Family Time (Supervised Contact) Worker – Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Hunter and Central Coast

About The Role
The Family Time Worker role is a casual position that requires flexibility with working hours, including a must‐work on weekends. The right applicant may also have the opportunity to complete Youth and Disability Support Worker shifts where appropriate.
When an individual is removed from the family home by Community Services, supervised family time allows children and young people to remain connected to each other in safe, fun and meaningful ways. The Family Time Worker is the adult responsible for the safety and wellbeing of the individual during the supervised visit and for providing accurate, objective supervision reports centred around the six dimensions of quality care.
Your Tasks
* Facilitate family time visits between children, young people, and their family members in accordance with the individual's family time plan, Community Services referral and ongoing case conference reports.
* Ensure the safety and well‐being of individuals during family time visits.
* Administer medication where necessary and as directed.
* Report after each visit with an accurate, objective written report.
* Maintain and ensure confidentiality.
* Prevent children from exposure to unnecessary or unapproved risks.
* Report to Allambi Care and Community Services any suspected risk of harm to children.

About You
* Current Working with Children Check (can be obtained via https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/apply-working-children-check)
* Current NDIS Worker Check (can be obtained via https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/ndiswc-apply)
* Current First Aid Certificate (Course Code HLTAID011)
* National Police Check (must be obtained via https://www.employmentscreeninggroup.com/au/allambi/)
* A current driver's licence (minimum of a P2)
* A vehicle that can transport upwards of 4 people
* Comprehensive car insurance
* Certificate of completion: NDIS Worker Orientation Module (can be accessed via https://training.ndiscommission.gov.au/)
* Willingness to participate in pre‐employment medical checks
* Two professional references
