Job Title: Electrical Field Engineer
Electrical field engineers are highly skilled professionals who provide project field engineering specialization and expertise. They work on planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and subcontract coordination.
Key Responsibilities
* Construction Drawings and Schedules: Prepare construction drawings and schedules, and design temporary construction facilities to ensure the preparation of 'as built' drawings and other job plans.
* Electrical Work Packages: Prepare, review, and approve electrical work packages, ensuring that construction installation requirements are met.
* Quality Inspections: Perform in-progress and final quality and completeness inspections of electrical, instrumentation, and EEHA installation.
* Punch Lists and RFIs: Develop punch lists and monitor completion of punch items, prepare and disposition request for information (RFIs), field change documents (FCDs) and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
* Vendor Coordination: Resolve and close out vendor and Modyard carry-over works, NCRs, and necessary documentation.
* Technical Assistance: Provide technical assistance to superintendents, supervisors, and craft professionals.
* Field Purchases: Initiate requisitions for field purchases, prepare quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment, and review material receiving reports and perform material receiving inspections.
* Quantity Tracking: Verify commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required, report on daily and weekly installed quantities to Project Controls.
* Safety Management: Ensure zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, manage Project EEHA Dossier (HAVD) and associated inspection and test records, and submit completed work packages and ITRs to Turnover.
* Continuous Learning: Proactively consider continuous learning or show interest to pursue appropriate learning activities.
