Chandler Macleod is partnering with a forward-thinking Sydney council to recruit a motivated Waste Communications Coordinator. This role offers a chance to play a direct part in reducing waste and promoting responsible recycling habits across the community.
About the Role
This is a dynamic and hands-on communications role focused on executing impactful waste education programs. You'll manage end-to-end delivery of public campaigns that encourage better waste practices through initiatives like clothes swaps, food scraps recycling, and Recycle It Saturday.
* Write and update content for waste and recycling web pages
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver campaign materials
* Track and analyse the success of campaigns to guide improvements
* Deliver creative, multi-channel campaigns via email, digital ads, social media and print
* Ensure consistent branding through development of visual assets, signage and digital screens
* Coordinate feedback, approvals, and versioning across key stakeholders
* Use Microsoft Office, Trim and Jira to manage records, track progress, and develop content
About You
You're an adaptable communicator with a keen interest in sustainability and a talent for turning ideas into engaging, actionable messages. You're comfortable juggling multiple projects and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders.
You will have:
* Proven ability to meet tight deadlines while managing competing priorities
* Experience working on waste & recycling projects
* Experience with digital communication tools including social media and web updates
* At least two years in a communications, engagement, or marketing environment
* A relevant tertiary qualification in communications, marketing, or a similar discipline
* Competence in tools such as Google Analytics 4, Trim, Jira, and Microsoft Office
