What's on offer
* Hourly rate: A$ 58.50 /hr (normal time) + super + overtime
* Stable, workshop-based environment with predictable hours (day shift)
Key Responsibilities
* MIG welding and fabrication of structural steel components for heavy construction.
* Reading, interpreting and working from workshop and engineering drawings.
* Setting out, measuring, and fabricating structural steel to specification.
* Working independently or as part of a small team to meet quality and production targets.
* Prioritising tasks and managing time efficiently to stay on schedule.
What we need from you
* Valid trade qualification (Boilermaker / Structural Steel / Fabrication) relevant to heavy-construction steel work.
* Proven experience in heavy-construction MIG fabrication/fitting of structural steel.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret workshop/engineering drawings correctly.
* Good mechanical aptitude and ability to work unsupervised.
* Available references (contact details) from at least two previous employers.
* Permanent resident or valid working rights for Australia — already living in Melbourne, Victoria.
