About the Project
The Alkimos Seawater Desalination Plant is a major infrastructure project that expands Perth's drinking water supply. The project includes significant civil and earthworks operations and strong environmental requirements. Delivery requires detailed planning, collaboration and a commitment to safety. The team is building critical water infrastructure that will support long term community needs.
About the Opportunity
As a Site Engineer for Earthworks, you coordinate civil and earthworks activities across planning, scheduling, quality, procurement and construction support. You manage work packs, conduct inspections, track progress, support safe delivery and assist key technical decisions. You work with the Senior Project Engineer, supervisors, engineering teams and subcontractors to align delivery with design, program and performance targets.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead weekly safety and environmental checks
- Prepare quantity take offs and manage packages
- Develop methods and complete work packs
- Plan activities and manage lookaheads
- Raise RFIs and maintain red line drawings
- Coordinate site works and materials
- Draft ITPs and verify construction
Required Skills and Competencies
- Degree in civil engineering
- Experience in civil or earthworks
- Ability to plan works and manage interfaces
- Strong communication and problem solving skills
- Competent with digital engineering tools
