About the Role

QPAC is excited to introduce a brand-new role within our Creative Learning team, Project Officer - Creative Learning .

In this role, you’ll support the planning, delivery and evaluation of a diverse range of Creative Learning projects and programs across all genres of the performing arts. Working closely with artists, educators, schools, external partners and internal teams, you’ll help ensure projects are delivered to the highest artistic, technical and financial standards.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced arts environment, loves juggling multiple projects, and is passionate about engaging communities - particularly young people and learners - with the performing arts.

In this role you will:

* Support the delivery of Creative Learning projects and productions, ranging in scale, format and complexity

* Assist with project planning and coordination activities, including:

o Drafting budgets, contracts and financial documentation

o Coordinating event delivery requirements

o Booking travel and accommodation

o Preparing and maintaining project, event and administrative documentation

* Monitor and report on Creative Learning program activity

* Liaise with schools and educational institutions to manage bookings and support excursion requirements

* Identify and recommend program content and products for inclusion in QPAC’s Creative Learning program

* Build and maintain professional relationships with artists, educators, partners and stakeholders

* Work collaboratively across QPAC to support curatorial priorities and broader organisational goals

* Ensure compliance with relevant policies, legislation and workplace health and safety requirements

* Provide flexible support to the team, including availability to work outside standard office hours when required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

* A proactive, enthusiastic and self-motivated approach, with a strong team focus

* The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment while managing competing priorities

* Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with a strong customer-service mindset

* A genuine interest in Australian performing arts, with knowledge across a range of genres and art forms

* Demonstrated experience (or the ability to rapidly acquire skills) in coordinating performing arts projects

* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex tasks and deadlines

* Experience providing high-level administrative support, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office

* An understanding of (or interest in learning about):

o Production and technical processes

o Marketing and ticketing in an arts environment

o Budget preparation, monitoring and financial reporting

Experience in a similar arts or creative role is highly regarded, as is experience working in or alongside community or education-focused programs - but we welcome applicants who bring transferable skills and a strong passion for the sector.

Why You'll Love Working at QPAC

At QPAC, we value our people and offer a range of benefits, including:

* Access to House Seats

* 10% staff discount in our food and beverage outlets
