Tell me about this role: In this role, you will deliver a Future Lead-In Fighter System (FLIFS) inclusive of aircraft, simulators, facilities, ground support equipment, and training materials. The FLIFS system will replace the existing Introductory Fighter Course (IFC) and Introductory Fighter Course - Air Combat Officer (IFC-A) systems at 79 Squadron and 76 Squadron and will train fast jet (combat) aircrew to the point where they commence conversion training to front line combat aircraft. You will possess a high level of Service Writing skills work in a team under the general direction of the Team Lead. This position is full time and required to be onsite at Russell Offices, Canberra. What will I be doing day to day? Develop a consistent, fit for purpose set of high-quality project documents under the guidance of the Team Lead in accordance with service writing guidance Review project documentation for consistency and accuracy ensuring alignment across the project Generate project correspondence and documentation, this includes producing detailed meeting minutes from associated meetings that capture action items and details of important project data Ensure accuracy of documentation produced by various team members to ensure it is consistent and aligns with project scope Gate-keep documentation/project information access, ensuring it meets the correct classification and is locked down as necessary Adhere to Defence's Information handling when producing, storing and accessing documentation Who we’re Looking For: You are an experienced Technical Writer who has previously worked in the CASG and Acquisition environment. You will be familiar with the Defence application suite and organisational document storage structures. You will possess strong written and communication skills and are confident engaging with the project team and senior stakeholders. You are comfortable interpreting policy and providing clear advice whilst developing fit for purpose documentation and delivering on-time and to a high quality within the Aerospace Domain.
