Finance Assistant (maternity cover) - Launceston - £26,500 + generous hybrid working policy
Trial Balance Consulting are pleased to be supporting a well-established and highly regarded organisation with the recruitment of a Finance Assistant to join their finance team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is a key role within a structured and collaborative finance function and will appeal to someone who takes real pride in accuracy, attention to detail and high-quality financial administration.
Working closely with the Management Accountant and wider internal teams, the successful candidate will be responsible for processing interest payments and receipts, maintaining accurate financial records and supporting reconciliation, audit and compliance activity. This role requires polished Excel skills, confidence handling detailed spreadsheets and a methodical approach where precision is essential. A generous hybrid working policy is offered, reflecting a flexible and supportive working culture.
Key responsibilities
* Processing payments and receipts
* Daily reconciliation of bank accounts
* Maintaining the sales ledger, raising invoices and managing postings
* Liaising with internal teams
* Supporting audit processes and ensuring data accuracy and compliance
Experience and capabilities
This role will suit an experienced Finance Assistant or Finance Administrator who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team, is comfortable working to deadlines, and brings a high level of accuracy to everything they do. Strong Excel capability and a detail-focused mindset are essential.
