As a Commis Chef, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality culinary experiences that align with our hotel's commitment to excellence. This hands-on position requires working in a safe, efficient, and hygienic manner while upholding the exceptional food standards our guests expect. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook food items as directed, including baking, pastry, and butchery tasks.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety at all times.
Minimise food wastage through efficient preparation and storage practices.
Follow all standard operating procedures and WH&S guidelines.
Support senior kitchen staff and contribute to a positive team environment.
Maintain professional grooming and presentation standards.
Build positive relationships with colleagues across departments.
Stay informed about food products and culinary trends.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or hospitality environment preferred.
Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and WH&S practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and follow instructions.
A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn.
Excellent time management and attention to detail.
Formal culinary training or relevant certifications (desirable).
