This role can be based out of Brisbane, Sydney or Mount Waverley, Australia.
To provide technical assistance in the following areas, develop and review high level design, solution positioning, Product Selection and provide technical support to conduct product demos, proof of concept set ups as well as training and workshops and other thought leadership activities. To provide highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site installation, testing & commissioning. Evaluate operational quality of equipment, instruct customer in operation and maintenance of products, serve as technical liaison with customer on admin and technical matters for assigned projects, and interpret customer needs.
You will Make an Impact by:
* Providing product and technical support to external and internal customers as a contributing team member.
* Providing pre-sales technical support for development and implementation of complex products/applications/solutions for CommScope product lines, including modification of product application to meet customer network configurations.
* Providing technical assistance through sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation, and maintenance of CommScope products.
* Providing product and application training to customers.
* Providing post-sales technical expertise during installation, implementation, testing, and maintenance of CommScope products.
* Providing engineering support for the introduction of new products, consulting with customers to determine and document requirements, developing product specifications, and working with product managers on the development of fit for purpose products.
* Providing innovative ideas, customer perspective, and research into product developments. Staying involved in the process from concept through design to execution. Actively participating in market introduction and penetration strategies.
You will Excite us if you Have:
* Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Telecommunication or appropriate industry knowledge with a minimum of 3-5 years of field/industry experience.
* Computer and office skills required (Office365, Windows, Project); a working knowledge of Creo, Draftsight, and Solidworks would be advantageous.
* Knowledge and experience on the use of test equipment, including Optical Time Domain Reflectometers, Optical Power Meters, and Sources strongly preferred.
* Previous OSP engineering and post-sales OSP experience. Knowledge and experience in FOSC, FIST, and Tenio closures would be advantageous.
* Previous experience/knowledge of FTTx network design.
* Previous experience in splicing of ribbon and stranded fibre cables.
* Experience in the preparation and product selections for RFI, RFP & RFT.
* Deal closing skills to assist the sales force, influencing the outcome of a tender response technically through product expertise, combined with strategic thinking in the commercial landscape.
* Ability to create and deliver sales and training presentations with confidence and customer-facing skill.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to establish and maintain relationships.
* Advanced technical skill set and well-developed problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent problem-solving skills are important in this role; drive for results in addressing customer challenges is important.
* Project management experience and understanding of Gantt charts required.
* Possess a vehicle and current valid Australian driving license.
* Possess a valid Industry White Card and an Open Communication Registration with all endorsements.
