About the role
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Male Disability Support Worker to provide high‐quality, person‐centred support to at least two of our male clients – NDIS and Aged Care – in the Yarra Ranges area. Please note: these preferences are based on the participant's individual needs, in line with the comfort, support requirements and the participant's right to Choice and Control under the NDIS and Aged Care guidelines.
This role is casual but offering; regular shifts, the opportunity to become part‐time and increasing hours as our clients grow.
Responsibilities
* Provide a high quality and timely care support to the clients as directed by Home Caring, and in accordance with their care plans.
* Support clients in getting out for social engagement, activities and in attending appointments.
* Provide personal care and daily living (domestic) assistance.
* Assist with household tasks (may include cleaning, meal preparation).
* Document service activities that support service outcomes.
* Support participants in achieving individual NDIS goals.
* Maintain accurate documentation (including reporting) and shift notes.
* Available for Monday 6pm‐9.30pm – NDIS client for community group session.
* Available for Wednesdays 11‐1pm – aged care client with personal hygiene.
Requirements
* Professional experience in the NDIS and/or Aged Care sectors.
* Excellent communication skills, commitment to a person‐centred focus and flexibility to support needs based on individual circumstances.
* NDIS Worker Screening Check.
* Current First Aid certificate and current CPR certificate.
* Current driver's licence & have your own reliable vehicle.
* The right to work in Australia.
