The Role
The ICT Customer Support Officer provides technical support to internal users, maintains IT systems, and ensures the smooth operation of computer networks and software applications. The role involves troubleshooting and resolving IT issues, supporting network and system functionality, and assisting staff with hardware and software requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide first-line technical support to users for software, hardware, and network issues.
* Troubleshoot and resolve IT problems, including computers, printers, and network connections.
* Assist in the configuration and maintenance of network devices and operating systems.
* Perform IP address auditing and manage user accounts.
* Document IT procedures, policies, and network configurations.
* Collaborate with staff on routine system updates.
* Ensure security of IT systems by monitoring access and enforcing policies.
* Maintain operational readiness of IT systems and perform minor upgrades as required.
* Travel to Papua New Guinea as required to support staff and attend meetings.
Qualifications
* Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, with practical experience in networking and IT support.
* Minimum of 5 years' full-time employment in relevant ICT support roles.

* Proficiency with multiple operating systems and cloud-based server environments.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
