Your Role
As a Level 2 Security Operative, you'll act as the escalation layer between frontline monitoring and senior security engineering.
Responsibilities include:
* Investigate and remediate endpoint and identity security incidents
* Enforce device compliance and endpoint hardening standardsConfigure and manage endpoint firewall and security policies
* Identify and remediate security posture and vulnerability gaps
* Support quarterly audits and compliance reporting
* Maintain clear documentation and root cause analyses
* Backfill Level 1 monitoring as needed
* Collaborate closely with Service Desk, NOC, and Professional Services
You won't just close tickets you'll improve environments and make a real impact.
What We're Looking For
* 1–2 years' experience in IT support, infrastructure, or security operations
* Completed or working toward security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Microsoft SC-200)
* Strong exposure to Microsoft environments (M365, Azure AD, Endpoint Manager)
* Understanding of endpoint security, MFA, and compliance frameworks (e.g., Essential 8)
* Analytical, detail-focused, and confident investigating alerts
* Clear documentation skills and client communication ability
* Comfortable in a structured, KPI-driven environment
* Melbourne-based, with availability for onsite support when required

Location & Work Arrangement:
* Melbourne-based with onsite requirement
* Full-time in-office for the first 6 months, then 3 days in office / 2 days from home
