About the role
SGME is seeking a Principal Ecologist to lead the delivery of high-quality ecological assessments across major projects, from feasibility through to monitoring and closure. You'll play a pivotal role in designing and executing flora and fauna survey programs, identifying threatened species, and providing strategic advice to support successful project approvals. With over 5 years' experience, you bring deep expertise in vegetation mapping, biodiversity offsets, and rehabilitation strategies, alongside a strong understanding of environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks. Your leadership will guide technical teams and mentor junior ecologists, ensuring excellence in reporting and ecological outcomes.
