Duties and Responsibilities
Event Preparation and Support
Assist with the collection, unpacking, sorting, and packing of donated presents and goods.
Help set up and maintain organisational systems for the Christmas Drive.
Collaborate with the Admin team and Fundraising & Community Engagement Coordinator to ensure smooth operations.
Support logistics to ensure all presents and donations reach clients in a timely manner.
Maintain a positive, client-focused approach during the event period.
General Volunteer Support
Act respectfully and professionally at all times.
Work collaboratively with staff and other volunteers to deliver a successful event.
Communicate effectively with coordinators and team members.
Assist with other tasks as required to support the Christmas Drive.
Volunteer Induction and Training
All volunteers will receive an induction and training relevant to their role, including child safety, WHS, and organisational policies.
Competency Profile
Qualifications
No formal qualifications required; experience in community events or working with young people is beneficial.
Current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
Current National Police Check (if required).
Current NSW Drivers License.
Knowledge & Skills
Understanding of community events and volunteer operations.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Organised, detail-oriented, and able to work flexibly under pressure.
Enthusiasm and commitment to helping vulnerable young people and families.
Experience
Experience in volunteering, event coordination, or working with young people is desirable.

Time Required: The role is predominantly based out of our Head Office in St Leonards.
Volunteers are expected to commit to 8-12 hours a week for 4 weeks between November and December.
Training: All volunteers will receive an induction and training relevant to their role, including child safety, WHS, and organisational policies.
