This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 3, 2026.
Role
The Student Support Coordinator will work closely with Year Coordinators to strengthen coordination practices and build staff capacity across the school. The role supports the development of best practice while ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures. The Coordinator will mentor, consult and provide guidance around case management, support staff through professional learning, and consolidate knowledge into effective practice.
The Coordinator will also contribute to the planning and delivery of key school events such as the Parent Expo and Body Kind, and provide leadership in programs aligned with Respectful Relationships. These responsibilities aim to strengthen a positive, inclusive and supportive school culture for students and families.
A significant component of the role involves leadership in case management. The Coordinator will collaborate closely with Student Services Managers to support coordinated and effective case management processes, provide guidance on the development and implementation of behaviour plans using Prevent-Teach-Reinforce (PTR), and offer problem‐solving consultation for staff, particularly new Year Coordinators. The Coordinator will assist in planning processes for students and advise on referrals to external agencies. The role also maintains crisis‐management functions to ensure timely and supportive responses to critical incidents involving students.
Qualifications
* Considerable knowledge and understanding of the delivery of pastoral care, alternative support agencies and pathways, education programs, and/or behaviour/risk management planning.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
