Job Description

This role is responsible for creating high-quality content that tells the story of law enforcement in Australia.

The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to produce video and photographic projects, including writing, directing talent, and editing footage and audio files.

They will also be required to document and edit significant operational activity for distribution to the media and other communication channels.


Key Responsibilities:

* Develop high-quality content that showcases the AFP's mission and values.
* Lead production of video and photographic projects, including writing, producing, directing talent, organizing projects and media, editing footage and audio files, creating static and motion graphics, and adding music/voice-over/sound effects.
* Document and edit significant operational activity for distribution to the media and other AFP communication channels.
* Foster good working relationships with stakeholders, liaising with clients on concepts, revisions, and delivery in a timely and professional manner.
* Work closely with the Team Leader to improve business processes and foster a good culture.
* Provide specialist production advice and support for internal stakeholders, and mentor junior staff.


Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

* A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
* Qualification/s in video production/photography or a related field.
* Experience with editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, and/or other digital platforms.
* Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
* Experience working with a variety of clients to tight timeframes.
